This policy applies to products purchased through the Slide On Campers online shop. It does not limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable New Zealand consumer law.
1. Faulty or defective products
If a product is faulty, defective, unsafe, not as described, not fit for its intended purpose or otherwise fails to meet a guarantee under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, please contact us.
Depending on the circumstances and your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act, the appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement or refund.
Where appropriate, we may arrange for the product to be assessed by the manufacturer or supplier before the remedy is determined. This assessment process does not limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
2. Damaged, incorrect or Dead on Arrival products
If a product arrives damaged, is Dead on Arrival, or you receive the wrong product, please notify us within 3 business days of delivery so we can promptly investigate the issue with the supplier or courier.
When contacting us, please provide where available:
- your order number
- a description of the issue
- photographs of the product
- photographs of the packaging
The 3 business day notification request helps us manage courier and supplier claims and does not remove any rights you may have under New Zealand consumer law.
3. Change of mind returns
You may request a change-of-mind return within 7 days of delivery.
For a standard change-of-mind return to be eligible:
- the product must be sealed and unopened where applicable
- the product must be unused and in original resaleable condition
- all original packaging, accessories, manuals and other supplied items must be included
- the return must be approved by Slide On Campers before the product is sent back
An approved standard change-of-mind return is eligible for exchange or store credit only. A cash or card refund is not provided for change of mind.
4. Opened or used non-faulty products
Opened or used non-faulty products are not normally eligible for a change-of-mind return.
Slide On Campers may choose to accept such a return in special circumstances at its discretion. If accepted, a minimum 20% restocking and handling fee will apply, and the product must still be complete and in a condition suitable for resale.
5. Products excluded from change-of-mind returns
The following products are not eligible for change-of-mind returns unless Slide On Campers expressly agrees otherwise:
- special-order products
- products specifically sourced or ordered for the customer
- clearance or final-sale products
- products that have been installed, modified, damaged or used beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them
These exclusions apply only to change-of-mind returns and do not limit any remedy required under New Zealand consumer law for faulty or non-compliant products.
6. Return freight and original delivery charges
For an approved change-of-mind return, the customer is responsible for return freight and for ensuring the product is packaged appropriately for transport.
Original delivery, service or other fulfilment charges are not refundable for a change-of-mind return.
Where a product fails to meet the guarantees provided by the Consumer Guarantees Act, return freight and other reasonable return costs will be handled in accordance with our obligations under New Zealand law.
7. Return authorisation and return location
Please contact Slide On Campers before returning any product.
Because products may be supplied from different locations, the correct return address can vary. We will provide the appropriate return instructions and address after the return has been approved.
Do not return a product directly to a supplier, distributor or Slide On Campers address unless we have provided that return instruction.
8. Refunds
Where a refund is required or approved for a reason other than change of mind, it will normally be returned using the original payment method.
Processing time after a refund is issued may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
9. Proof of purchase
We may require your Slide On Campers order number or other proof of purchase when processing a return, assessment, warranty claim, repair, replacement, store credit or refund.
